Expand/Collapse How do I clean and maintain the awning frame?

For the cleaning of powder-coated surfaces we recommend: *

Utilities:

  • Water and conventional dishwasher detergent
  • soft sponge (no pan cleaner!) or soft cloth
  • leather cloth
  • car polish paste

For regular care:

  • wash aluminium parts with clear water and detergent, clean clean and leather them.

For conservation:

  • Treat parts in dry, cleaned condition with car polish.

For repair:

  • Small scratches can be repaired with a suitable lacquer stick (available on request).
  • Large-scale damage can only be repaired by replacing the component in question. Have them checked by a specialist supplier.

Attention!

  • In principle, no acidic or alkaline agents (pH value less than 5 (acidic) or greater than 8.5 (alkaline) may be used for powder-coated surfaces.
  • Abrasive cleaning agents or aids such as scouring agents, steel wool, pan cleaners, etc. can scratch the surface and should therefore not be used.
  • We recommend testing the selected cleaning agent in a small area outside the visible area.
  • The detergent should be applied for a maximum of one hour. If necessary, we recommend repeating the cleaning procedure.
  • The surface and detergent temperature should not exceed 25° Celsius.
  • Do not use steam jet devices.

*These are recommendations which do not exclude our own careful examination. To the best of our knowledge and experience, we hereby issue a non-binding recommendation for action
